I apologize in advance for my 'newbie-ness' and if my questions are elementary.
After a period of frustration trying to enable the Hidden Files 'button' on my FIRE TV in ES FILES MANAGER with my Fire TV remote, I read this forum and learned that I would actually need to connect a keyboard to do so -- something that I could do through the USB port on the rear.
I am now wanting to enable the Hidden Files on my new FIRE TV STICK -- but, of course, cannot attach a keyboard as there is no USB port.
Is there another way to do this?
My goal is to copy my current configuration onto the FIRE TV STICK, something I do on the FIRE TV from an attached USB.
I have tried the 'restore' feature using jocala's adbfire tool, and while I can see that the restore file has been pushed over to the Fire TV and is inside of XBMC, I still boot to the brand new XBMC configuration I started with.
I figure that with the ability to open folders, I could find the FILE that was pushed over and use it as a replacement. But I cannot open any of the Folders without Hidden Files enabled on FILE MANAGER, and I just don't know how to do it.
Am I going about this all wrong on the Fire TV STICK?
I have looked but cannot find where this process has been addressed.
Thanks for any help that might be provided.
